The Girl with the Sweetest Secret Reviews
First time I have read anything by this author. She is a great writer. I absolutely loved this book. Frances or Frankie's family is from America, making their money from silver mining . She lives with her mother, Elizabeth and her two sisters, Claire and Sarah. The head of the house is Redmond Strait, their mother's brother. It is most important to Elizabeth that her daughters marry a titled gentleman. The family knows Reynard Boulton as he is their brother in law's best friend. He is also, know ...more
Fantastic! I was hesitant at first to read this book because one of its main characters is from America. Sometimes American’s in the London scene are portrayed as outlandish, simpleminded or uncivilized. This author was quite the opposite and portrayed them perfectly. The chemistry between Reynard and Frankie was amazing. This is not a rip you clothes off kind of story. Their emotions and actions were perfectly simmering until fully realized. I like romances that have a secondary story line not ...more

This book was good but it took me a bit to get into it. Once I did I couldn't put it down. Frankie is a stubborn, determined, young lady who is used to running around doing the things she loves without repercussions. Now she in London and not Nevada anymore. Her mother is determined to make marriage matches that will rise the girls and make them comfortable for life. HOwever each of the Baumgarten sisters have their own plans.
Reynard has had his own set of issues and thanks to a promise to his ...more
